Radio Rookies was a school holiday program I designed in 2022 for children aged 9-12 to explore the world of podcasting. It ran three times that year alongside a parallel program for adults.
This project was a collaboration with ArtSound FM Radio Station, Canberra's local arts and music radio station.
The program provided a hands-on introduction to audio recording and editing techniques,
empowering young participants to create their own podcast content within the ArtSound FM environment.
My aim was to introduce Canberra kids to the joy of storytelling and encourage new connections between the station and potential future listeners and creators. Building on this, I developed an adult program, Podcasts 101, that was also run in collaboration with ArtSound FM.
