A celestial shindig at Cuppabumbalong Homestead in Thawra (ACT), all happening right under the Milky Way.
The sold out event was capped at 160 attendees over two nights to ensure COVID-19 distancing requirements were met.
We gave folks constellation cards, sky-charts, and compasses to help them navigate the cosmos. The cards were designed on Photoshop and developed to guide star-gazers through the Southern Hemisphere's major constellations.
Woodfired pizza and beer provided by Capital Brewing Co. fueled the night, accompanied by a live musical performance of space-themed songs. And for those who wanted to extend the experience, overnight camping was available right on the homestead.
We were lucky to be blessed with two perfectly clear nights (there was, foolishly, no Plan B) , and even saw many a wombat roaming under the stars.
